Sean Mathews Music, EP Release Photography Session

Like most people in Drogheda, I know Sean Mathews Music from the local scene. He is a talented and distinctive folk musician. I also had the opportunity to admire him live. As Sean himself describes the music, it is urban folk. I was happy when Sean called me and asked for photos for his upcoming EP, "Charcoal Dawn Session." Requesting it with many kind compliments about my Photographs - who does not like compliments? ;-)

As a special distinction, I received his inquiry about whether he could use one of my photos of local beaches as an inspiration for the cover of this album. The photo was to be turned into an artwork by renowned local artist Rodney Thornton. Cover and original Photograph underneath.
From the beginning, Sean had a clear idea of what he wanted his Promo photos to look like. He liked my portraits so far, with lots of contrast in them and black and soft shadows.
work with Sean went very well from start to finish. He is a soft-spoken true gentleman and great artist.
I wish him all the best with his new project.
